Mexico Brutalist
a contemporary architectural masterpiece in Mexican Brutalist style, perched on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean — where form, color, and nature blend dramatically
Architectural Overview
The project makes a strong impression with its Terracotta Red-coated concrete blocks — a color reminiscent of ancient Mexican and Mediterranean architecture. The curved arches, square blocks, and sharp planes are boldly arranged, creating a strong visual effect as sunlight and shadows alternate throughout the day.
Located between the green forest and the deep blue ocean, the house is like a giant sculpture rising from the cliff, reflected on the surface of the infinity pool stretching out to the horizon.
⸻
Interior space
The interior has the spirit of Minimalism and Monolithic — minimizing shapes, focusing on materials and light.
• Main color tones: earthy orange, light beige, light gray, cream white.
• Natural stone floors and smooth plaster walls combine harmoniously, highlighting the rustic but luxurious quality.
• Custom-designed furniture: monolithic stone tables, minimalist white sofas, hand-crafted ceramic vases evoke the local atmosphere.
• Open arches facing the sea, capturing natural light and wind, making the space almost blur the boundary between inside and outside.
⸻
Pool & landscape
The long infinity pool, bordered by bright stone, perfectly reflects the orange wall and blue sky. The surrounding landscape is softened with native plants, crushed stones and small walkways, preserving the natural terrain of the mountainside.
⸻
Design philosophy
The house clearly demonstrates the philosophy of “architecture as sculpture” of modern Mexico – where color, shape and light are used as three elements to create emotions. Minimalism is not cold, but warm and reminiscent of the primitive beauty of nature.

Suggested application in Vietnam
This architectural model is very suitable for application in coastal villa areas of Nha Trang, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen or semi-mountainous Da Lat - Tuyen Lam.
• Red earth color can be replaced with orange terracotta or light burnt cement effect paint.
• Use local materials (basalt, polished concrete, hand-fired ceramics).
• Combine infinity pool and open arch frame to nature to create a similar effect.
